Comments about Selmer Model 122F Intermediate Oboe:
I was hesitant to purchase this oboe in the begining because I had a Selmer oboe in the past and had nothing but problems with it. But I needed to move up from my beginner oboe and I couldn't pass up the great deal (just a word of advice: don't bother with buying a beginner oboe it can't go down to low Bb). Even though I had my doubts about Selmer before, I was definitely glad that I bought the 122F. It has a beautiful dark tone and clarity. The only problem I have had with it is that it tends to hold water in some of the keys (that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, if it was an option i would give it a 4.5). Other than that I have had absolutely no problems with it. I've had it the past 5 years and it still plays great!!
