Comments about Hodge Tenor Sax Silk Swab:
Slides OK if horn is fairly dry, so after you've already used something else. So don't do what they suggest, i.e. leaving on the neck and mouthpiece. Remove those and it slides through OK (we hope). But still, it doesn't absorb as much as a chamois, but with those you need something looser than the ones currently available with the styrofoam-like white disc. You might be better off inventing one that is flexible chamois (thinner than the ones advertised, maybe a little larger in diameter) with no disc attached, only a very long weighted string like the one on the silk swab.
