Unprecedented tone, flexibility and response.

Select Jazz reeds feature the thickest spine and blank of D'Addario's jazz reeds, with a traditional tip shape. The Select Jazz cut offers great projection, focus, and a vibrant sound. Offered in third strengths, rather than half strengths, so players can choose the most precise strength for their individual equipment.

  • Outstanding control and projection
  • Available in both Filed and Unfiled models for the full range of saxophones
  • Available in third strengths (soft, medium, and hard) from 2.0 to 4.0

Comments about D'Addario Woodwinds Select Jazz Unfiled Tenor Saxophone Reeds:

I was told about reed by my friend who uses a jody jazz dv ato mouthpiece with a selmer super action II saxophone: sounds pretty good. My setup is Jody Jazz DV tenor with a Keilwerth tone king sax (1956). The reed responds immediately full power and a great rich tone, it will blow you away. The lows are rich and fat as fat as it can get and balance throughout.

Comments about D'Addario Woodwinds Select Jazz Unfiled Tenor Saxophone Reeds:

I have been playing Rico reeds It seems like forever. I've played the Rico Royal more than 25 years. A friend who owns a local music store gave me a box of 5 Unfiled Rico Jazz Select. He had them for years and couldn't sell them. I have found for me the perfect reed. I play a Mark VI that I purchased new in 1962 together with a 120/1 M Berg Larson mouth piece. In the past 2 years I added a Rovner ligature. The Rico Unfiled Jazz Select Reed has made my sound complete. I get complements on my tone at every gig. Even from other sax players. I've tried other brands. Rico Jazz Select is my exclusive reed.
