Explosive sounds with all the right touches.

The Micro Vent snare drum from OCDP is designed to give drummers' maximum projection and sensitivity. The 7" x 14" steel shell features dual 2" bands of micro vents, which dramatically increases the volume and responsiveness. Thick die-cast hoops help keep the snare's sound under control, so all that added power doesn't add too much ring to adversely affect your tone. In short, the Micro Vent snare is designed to be louder, more sensitive, drier, and more explosive than any other drum you have ever played. Plus, it has all the small touches that make OCDP snares look so unique, including 20 offset lugs, a chrome finish and all chrome hardware.

Comments about Orange County Drums and Percussion Micro Vent Snare Drum:

i bought this Orange County microvent snare drum from Music123 after reading a review of a similar model. I'm glad I bought the "real thing". This drum is the most amazing snare I have bought in quite a while. it's just so responsive and SO LOUD and piercing. The fittings are usual OCDP - from the sexy offset bullet lugs to the hefty die cast hoops it oozes quality and looks AMAZING under stage lights.I swapped the supplied head for a Remo Emperor X to take the ring out - a bit of moongel also helped here. i use it now as a second snare - tonally so different to my custom 20 ply keller maple snare . This drum won't be to everyones liking - certainly not jazz or funk - but for metal/thrash - give it a go. crank the batter up and this baby sings. it's great to feel the air rushing out of the microvents when you hit it. this drum will get you noticed and will be a great talking point at gigs. (and at Music123 it's a great price!)
