Great Kit for Great Price

from Chicago, IL

This kit is pretty amazing for the price. The pads are responsive, maybe not as realistic as mesh, but certainly good enough to get the job done. The module is good, can't expect a huge amount of features at this price range, and it provides a lot of good preset kits. The patches are fairly easy to edit, too. The construction is good if you take your time to set it up correctly. Overall, for under $1000 you can't argue with this kit. If you live in an apartment and want to play this is the answer, very quiet.

Awesome to record to DAW

from Connecticut

This set is outstanding for home recording. I currently use the set a variety of ways. I can play music into the brain unit and jam for practice on the 32 preset sets. I can run audio out of the brain unit into a mixer for live play or recording. Or my favorite, I send midi from the drumset to my DAW as a midi trigger. I like to use NI Battery for assigning the samples to the individual pads. This is incredible. If you are tired of playing the drums on your keyboard controller, this is for you. The foot hardware is very pro quality. The pads are entry level single zone, but they feel great. The mounting hardware is mostly plastic couplings on an alloy frame, but it is very strong. It looks cool. I have always wanted a set, but I live in an apartment. Well worth the money, no miking headaches to deal with or complaing nieghbors.

well worth the money!

from Scottsdale , Az

I hever had an electronic drum kit before. I have had several acoustic sets and I must admit that I have missed out on a lot! I researched these sets a great deal before buying, and found that Yamaha had the best value hands down, after receiving it, I was very happy with the easy set up and all the capabilities this set offers. It is an excellent training tool! Best deal out there!
