This pedal is awesome. It has a great overdrive sound. The Tone Lok feature is something all pedals should have. In my opinion this pedal sounds better than the Boss bass overdrive pedal. For a lot cheaper you cannot go wrong with this one.
If you want to stand out, this is the distortion for you. I've had this for about 5 months and I can't put down my bass. You can't fix the knobs to fit your style. There are no boundaries. Plus, it's very tough. I've dropped it about 10 times. I've even stepped on it and it has yet to even be close to damaged. If you want to buy something and know you won't regret it, get this distortion. Trust me. It will ROCK your world.
This Pedal is the only pedal I've found even worthy of MY DAMNED BASS GUITAR phase away!!! What I feel this thing does for a bassist is adds some low growling tones with some way wack'd out stuff. Check this pedal out!
I bought this pedal for my Hardcore/Punk band, to keep up with the noise of the drummer and guitarists. It's really easy to use. Just fiddle with the knobs until your'e happy, push them into the pedals and off you go. It can growl, howl and scream, and you can stomp on it since its quite sturdy. I personally like the Overdrive mode best. That coupled with hefty dose of low end and "this one goes up to eleven" makes my world rock. We played two-three gigs with other bands soon after I got the pedal and not long after I found out the other bass players had went and bought the PD7-Phat hed as well. The only thing I find lacking in this great pedal is that it tends to be heavy handed. I find it hard to get a moderate low fuzz for softer kind of music.
This pedal brings some of the most wicked distortion I have ever heard. I was worried when I ordered this because I thought that I should have bought the Boss Overdrive pedal, but once I tried this pedal, I was frozen in amazement. It has some very insane growls and sounds like the bass could be both the bass and the guitar in a song. It's worth buying, a lot of features and very affordable. You can get almost any distorted sound you like. I love it, definitely a must buy if you like to play heavy music or just like the distorted sounds.
This is perfect for heavy punk to hardcore heavy metal. I recommend getting the charger otherwise you will waste money on batteries. It's well worth the money
I've had this pedal for about six months now and it's been well worth the money. It can give you a nice heavy distortion when you need it. I've used it to obtain more of a fuzzy sound while playing in my band and it's been great. Would encourage anyone looking to add a little something to their sound to pick one up.
This pedal absolutely kicks. It's affordable, and lightweight, which makes it perfect for whatever music you play. The other 99 effect pedals don't have anything close to how good this pedal is.
This is a superb pedal, its very versatile. I use it to kick up the sound, and just to change the tone/volume. It works for anything from grunge to black metal. I couldn't imagine a more effective piece of kit. The steel housing takes one hell of a battering and still comes back for more. Only 2 complaints - the input jack is a little dodgy, but thats prob just mine. Also, it should come with a transformer, rather than buying it separate. (I go through a 9 volt batt every 2 weeks in my bass, and a pedal just adds to the cost. - not that I've actually had to change it yet...) either way its still an awesome pedal.
This is a great dist. pedal for metal. Using it with a Dunlop 105q bass wah will give u a Cliff Burton sound. This pedal definitely beats the Boss Bass dist. pedal & cheaper too.
