Great Microphone - read before buying the Beta 58a

from Palm Bay, FL

Comments about Sennheiser e 935 Cardioid Dynamic Vocal Microphone:

I purchased this microphone for my wife. She sings in 2 Christian bands -1 is a heavy metal/rock band and the other is more of a classical/folk type band. I was about to buy the Shure Beta58a mic because it was the reference standard that all other stage vocal mics were compared to (in our price range)...but just before I bought it I ran across some reviews of this mic, the e935. Since one of our band members had the Shure Beta 58a, we decided to buy the e935 and compare the two. The male vocalist sang a song with the 58a, then with the e935. My wife then did the same. I didn't see any major difference between the two and any tonal differences were easily corrected with minor changes on the sound board. They are both really great mics. My wife actually like the e935 a little better, stating that it had a little more "punch", but it may be because I bought it for her instead of it actually being better. The male singer liked them both equally. We definitely recommend this mic and when we buy another one for the band it will be the e935. It was definitely worth the extra $ than the mics we had been using. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
