Good for the price, but room for improvement

Comments about Kustom KPC215H 2x15" PA Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

We used a 4-set of these with some dual 15" subwoofers and they blew our minds, until the cabinets started lighting up & the highs disappeared. Took them apart (carefully, although it is a pain) & realized just how small the HF drivers were. They weren't piezo, but they wouldn't take a lot of abuse either. Solved that problem fast with some Eminence tweeters, just like I did in my personal set of KPC12M monitors, and problem solved. They take a punch and keep on going. The cabinets are very well built, the grilles are a pain to remove & replace, but other than that, these are good speakers for anyone starting out. Just make sure you have some replacement tweeters for when the stock ones go.

Comments about Kustom KPC215H 2x15" PA Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

We have 2 of these. I drive the with a SamsonSX1800 and they could not sound any better. With 6 Bose 802's and 4 15-2way peavy's, very full bodied, not too loud. Tolex is crap, carpet would be better.

Best deal out there

Comments about Kustom KPC215H 2x15" PA Speaker Cabinet with Horn:

The power ratings are 300 RMS and 600 Program. The sensitivity is 101 db at 1 meter with 1 watt input! These get loud before you realiize you are near the Osha danger levels for exposure...they are so clear they don't seem that loud. They are strong in the mids, but a little eq makes them nicely balanced with very low power consumption...more headroom for peaks. These have to be the ultimate sleeper deal on speakers. The dimensions shown must be the boxed dimensions, as mine are about 44 tall and correspondingly narrower and less deep. These sound great! Chimes sound like glass and the lows are tight and punchy...I use two 18 inch peavey subs anyway, but couldn't resist cranking them without the subs to check them out. They are the real deal for no real money. Scary good for what you pay and a 3 year warranty to boot. Plastic parts keep the price down, so use care and common sense leading and plugging in. Or change the parts out for metal ones and bang away. Don't let internet forums scare you away from these..they are very serviceable for the musician who shops in these types of stores dor their gig equipment...the budget is a valid consideration, and these fill the bill nicely for my band, with no loss of sound quality in the size venues we play...generally less than 500 seating.
