Don't be fooled by cheap interfaces

from Undisclosed

Comments about E-Mu XMIDI 1X1 V3 USB MIDI Interface:

As the cheapest midi interface available with driver support (for Windows 7 64-bit too!!!), the value can't be beat. Don't be fooled by those cheap cables offered on other sites; they lack driver support as they are just generic brands and will not transfer midi data correctly. You can find a lot of complaints on the generic brands.

I didn't want to take the chance, so I got this. As it's cheaper than the competing Uno cable (with that unsightly purple egg thing), the choice was obvious. I downloaded the Windows 7 drivers off their website, installed it, rebooted, and it worked like a charm. My Akai drum machine, Yamaha Keyboard, and Roland E-Drums all connect and work perfectly. This is a great investment for those looking to take advantage of midi programming with a keyboard, etc. Much easier than setting each note in the piano roll lol.
