Vocalist Live 5

from Undisclosed

Comments about DigiTech Vocalist LIVE 5 Vocal Harmony and Effects Processor:

I liked and used the Digitech Vocalist Live 4 for quite a while until the guitar preamp went out.
I have a feeling that unplugging the guitar while the unit was on a few times caused problems
and burnt it up. Now I unplug the guitar cord from the unit first and so far so good. That being said the newer unit seems somewhat the same and has a fairly real harmony sound. The trick of course to pulling off the harmony is to not use it too much. Another good idea is to leave the harmony way below the volume level of the lead vocal. I have the TC Helicon Vocalist unit that costs a couple of hundred more but it does not have the realism in the harmony that the Digitech unit has.
I like Digitech's feature of being able to mix the guitar with the vocal and put it through to an amp as well. Also having real knobs controlling volume of lead, harmony, and guitar on the face of the unit makes it more gig-friendly. Well worth the price.
