Comments about Behringer MICROAMP HA400 Headphone Amp:

I needed to record several people at once and settled for this four channel amp.

I'd read that some people had trouble with it, sounds came out distorted, didn't work, scratchy knobs, etc. but I got none of that.

Love the solid metal casing, the power supply cable is long enough, the sound is clear and loud enough for people to hear themselves well with enough headroom, pots are quiet...

I was not disappointed, this is exactly what I needed for home recording and to take to different places where I need to record.

I also use this to connect different listening devices, like my monitors and two different headphones I use.

I do not use it for mixing. I have not perceived any noise or loss of frequencies, but I have not listened critically through them. I plug as close to the source as I can when mixing.

    definitely a good buy.

Comments about Behringer MICROAMP HA400 Headphone Amp:

Great product! Don't know why it's getting some negative reviews? What do you expect for $20? It does what it's supposed to do. Amplify the sound in your headphones. Simple to hook up and operate. Looks great in the set up! It's actually metallic silver, not white, as it looks in the pics online. At the present time, I can't afford studio monitors for my in home set-up and I wasn't able to hear my drums for sound checks, even though I have some pretty good middle of the line headphones, to mix the levels properly before I started recording. I knew the headphones were pretty good due to the fact that things sounded great through them during playback and music from my Ipod as well. This little guy did the trick and now I'm able to mix my drums with no problems!!!
