Tone Heaven

Comments about BBE 482i Sonic Maximizer:

A must have for any rig. These are not equalizers. It analyzes your signal/tone and fixes it on the fly. It brightens, clarifies, and adds fullness to the sound. Do you have a tone in your head that you're trying to replicate? Put this in your signal chain and stop worrying about your tone, it's fixed. Guitar chords with distortion now ring though instead of "muddying-up."

I have always used Marshall combos, but some lack the punch/clarity of full/half stacks. This will correct that. Gives you the bass you can feel and full tone you've been lacking. Currently use it in all my setups, and just can't do without it. No manual needed to learn. Process IN/OUT button, low contour know, and high contour knob. Put both on 5 or 6 and you'll be amazed. Need more/less, just tweak it. Now hit the process IN/OUT (bypass switch) to see how much better your tone is. Also has RCA inputs/outputs for use in home theater systems.

This one has an (A) channel and a (B) channel, so you can share with you friend. You'll only need one unless you run a complex stereo setup, which most of us don't.

Note: I have tried the BBE stompbox versions of this and they fall short in the effects chain. Get this one and put it in your effects loop instead. Every stompbox that has a TONE knob or EQ compromises your tone. Stay away from those. Your guitar and amp already has TONE knobs for that, so keep it simple.
