Acoustic sound freed from all the clutter and tone-killing "appointments".
The Takamine NEX ETN40C is a stellar example of the acclaimed Natural Series, conceived and executed to deliver the biggest, widest acoustic sound possible.
The solid cedar top creates bright, radiant tone enhanced by the warm lows and mid frequencies emanating from the solid sapele body. The grand auditorium body strikes a perfect balance between comfortable playability and acoustic projection. With only a thin satin finish and no pickguard, the instrument's sound sings with lively sound that nearly jumps out of your hands.
The CT4B preamp provides a warm-sounding 3-band graphic with a stable, accurate chromatic tuner that's also great for non-standard and open tunings.

Comments about Takamine NEX ETN40C Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
Flawless everything. Incredible tone, playability, looks and craftsmanship. So well built. I did return it though, my fault, I was so focused on "wanting" a mahogany backed guitar (sapele same sound) but the drier, more pronouced midrange with less sustain and less bass was not what I was looking for, I really wanted to like it and keep it BUT, music123 got back in stock the guitar that i wanted to begin with, this guitars BIG brother, the Takamine TSF48C, with rosewood back and sides and a spruce top.
Overall, if your looking for mahogany (sapele) and a cedar topped guitar, you will not find an equal in this price range, not even close. A very srong fundamental tone that is intimate and sweet. It is amazing.
