With an arched mahogany 7-string-through body and 3-piece mahogany set neck with Schecter's Ultra Access heel contour, the BlackJack C-7 is so comfortable to play, it almost becomes an extension of your body.

The Schecter BlackJack ATX C-7 electric guitar features Seymour Duncan active Blackouts humbuckers. These are 9-volt pickups designed for aggressive playing styles; especially good for old school metal, garage, punk, thrash, drop tunings, and other heavy rock styles. The Blackouts' balanced inputs capture the tone that guitarists want in an active design, providing more lows, more highs, more tone — period.

The ebony fingerboard features an Active Bolt inlay at the 12th fret, like a warning label for just how much power your axe is packing. Grover tuners, a TonePros TOM bridge and a GraphTech lubricating nut keep you in tune and maximize sustain. Aged mulitply binding is an excellent frame for the high-class aged finish.

The best of vintage and modern specs in one package...

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Blackjack ATX C-7 7 String Electric Gutiar:

One can always count on Schecter for quality, consistency, and attention to detail. The Blackjack ATX 7 string is no exception to this rule. Delivering features many competitors do not offer(either in this price range or at all), such as an extended 26.5" scale ebony fretboard and all mahogany set-neck construction, Schecter has essentially blended the best of vintage styling into a modern era 7 string machine. Tone snobs take note- the active Duncan Blackouts are incredibly versatile; roll off the volume a bit and subtle dynamics shine through. Cranked, they are louder and wider ranged than their competitors counterparts, fully utilizing an amps gain channel, which is a must for todays metal and hard rock. The three volume/three way switch layout allows for one pickup to be set for a clean sound, and one at full gain, with a nice crunch at the middle setting- all without channel switching an amp. the locking tuners and bridge keep everything rock solid and in tune, while the body and neck themselves are contoured and incredibly comfortable. My only complaint is that Schecter does not offer this in a Floyd Rose equipped version, as like any player, I like to tremolo now and again. Incorporating easy playability, vintage-esque styling with modern specs, Schecter has truly created a versatile 7 string workhorse of a guitar, with looks to boot.
