Traditional styling gives this powerful instrument plenty of volume and low-end tone.

The Mitchell MD100 is a full-sized dreadnought has a traditional laminated spruce top and mahogany body for rich low end, blossoming mids, and bright trebles. Mother-of-pearl dots on the fingerboard and an abalone rosette make it an even better value. Case sold separately.

Comments about Mitchell MD100 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I got this in a trade just about a month ago and I'm kicking myself in the keister for not getting one much earlier. I've heard of this brand before but had assumed it was a el' cheapo that was geared toward beginners. I'm 56 years old and have been playing for over 43 years and to be honest , this is IMO, the best sounding acoustic guitar that is in this price range. Even the build quality is outstanding as well. The only thing that I did to it, was to swap out the stock bridge saddle pins for a new set of Graph-Tech Tusq ones, but I always do that with all of my acoustics. I swear that this sounds like a Martin . It has a very bright, crisp, and clear tone to it which is loud with gobs of sustain to it. It stays in tune very well and the Rosette on it is just beautiful. It actually looks more and sounds like, a guitar that you would find in the 5-600 price range. I highly recommend this guitar for the beginner and the guitarist who is on a budget. I also have 2 Fender Acoustics and this one just blows them both out of the water.

Comments about Mitchell MD100 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar to give as a Christmas present to my brother-in-law. He was used to a slightly higher priced Samick Gregg Bennet acoustic that he accidentally fell ontop of and smashed it. Without the means to replace it thought I'd give this one a try for him. When I got it I was shocked at how nice it looked. The finish was nearly flawless and beautiful. It seemed to be very well built and solid. The neck is very comfortable and plays with ease. The sound is very nice for a laminated top. It's loud and clear and fairly bright. He says it stays in tune for days although the tuners felt on the cheap side to me. He actually likes the Mitchell much better than his ex. I found that it was a very high quality instrument for the money. If you're a beginner you will love this one. If you're amore experienced player you'll find it to be a great campfire beater.(leave your Martin at home!) I'll be grabbing one of these babys for myself soon. I may spring for a few more bucks to see what the MD100s is like. I'm very intersted to compare the solid top version with the MD100. I don't think you can lose either way. Thanks Mitchell for building a high quality affordable acoustic.
