Modern features with '60s design elements.

U.S.-designed Paramount Series acoustic instruments are finely crafted and specially voiced to bring your artistic vision to life. Each all-solid guitar offers many legacy design elements of classic ’60s models, including special checkerboard binding and rosettes, unique pickguard shape, and abalone and mother-of-pearl "Concert Tone" fretboard inlays.

And even with this art deco look, Paramount instruments still retain their footing in modern design. All-new Fender- and Fishman-designed PM preamp systems are equipped with specially voiced for each body shape in the series, ensuring complete tonal control and variation.

Includes hardshell case.

Available in an elegant natural finish, the Paramount Deluxe Dreadnought features not only thoughtful vintage appointments, but also the craftsmanship of a truly high-performing instrument. Crafted from premium all-solid tone woods such as upgraded East Indian rosewood back and sides and Sitka spruce top and equipped with quartersawn scalloped "X" bracing, the Deluxe dreadnought is designed with freely vibrating, resonant tone in mind. It also features a fast-playing "C"-shaped mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, both of which are designed to accommodate the most demanding playing styles.

Comments about Fender Paramount Series PM-1 Deluxe Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Pure class and acoustic tone.

Very capable for recording.

In a nutshell, it sounds and plays like a Martin Sitka spruce/East Indian Rosewood dreadnaught. Including being flexible to tackle sweeping pick, hard picking, fingerstyle, or jazz chords with a balance that blends into a microphone. Single notes and lead sound great too.

Most guitars (I have owned 100's) just fail at trying to get this sound right. Fender pulled it off with this one.

The only shortcoming is that although it sounds great, it does not have quite the bark of the Martin in terms of volume or projection. Not quite as muted as the X-series, but think somewhere in between a D-28 and X-Series in terms of volume and closer to the D-28 in tone. If that makes any sense?

I suspect there is going to come a time when demand for these will be high on the used market. They discontinued these prematurely if you ask me. Its not like I just got a "good one", every single Paramount guitar I have tried (maybe 10 - 12) has been just as impressive.

I know, I know.... it sounds too good to be true, but I logged in here just to tell you - it sounds and plays like #$%*ing dream!

Best priced guitar investment I EVER made. (sorry for yelling - this guitar is a lot more than I bargained for).
