A little guitar with a solid top and a big personality.
The AP910 is one of the coolest guitars on the market today. Stunning in every way, this wonderful little guitar has a solid, naturally seasoned Engelmann spruce top with a mirror like, deep shine vintage sunburst finish and rosewood back and sides.
The top has an all round 2.0mm paua abalone purfling against Ivory ABS binding and just the right amount of inlay so its classy, showy and understated all at the same time. We match the purfling to a rosewood and paua rosette and 12th fret pearl inlay on its dot-free rosewood fingerboard.
Sonically the 910 is very open for a Palor but Alvarez allowed the small body to still create enough compression to give it focus and a modern feel to a traditional tone. The Engelmann spruce used on this guitar has been naturally seasoned for four years. This ensures greater stability in the top and enhances performance. Being spruce and rosewood you get a stronger signal from the bass and treble registers and thanks to considerately scalloped bracing system, the tone is full, clear and balanced.
The 910 also has the unmistakable Alvarez bi-level bridge. This system significantly increases the break angle from the saddle to the top. This increased down pressure raises string tension, giving the guitar a very responsive feel and adding quality to its volume and sustain.
