The Boston rings out loud and clear.

Deluxe features of this Deering Boston 5 left-handed banjo include adjustable mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and satin finish. The drum assembly has a 3/16" thick steel rim that rings like a tone-ring. The lefty banjo's 24-piece flange and steel rim give you a very enjoyable tone. The flange design allows you to convert this Deering banjo to open-back by removing the flange pieces and resonator. High quality sealed guitar-style tuners have an accurate 6:1 gear ratio. The thick steel rim which is unique to the Deering line produces a superior tone similar to a bronze tone-ring. Comes with a hardshell case.

Comments about Deering Left-Handed Boston 5 Banjo:

This is a very nice banjo! It is hand manufactured in lemon grove California. Deering is a highly reputable company, and I believe is better than the Gibsons. The Boston is excellent if you a beginner or intermediate, or advanced for the parking lot picker. Excellent sound quality and manufacturing quality for the price. Much beeter than any import.
