The brilliant metal projection is balanced by the warm, full tone of copper.

The Yamaha Copper Nouveau Snare Drum cuts through loud music yet has a warmer tone than other metal shells. It also has enhanced low frequencies for darker tones that work well in just about all musical situations. The quick-release low-contact Nouveau lugs allow the shell to vibrate for a more resonant drum and wide dynamic range. They also allow much quicker head changes because the tension rods don't have to be removed to take off the hoop.

A detachable strainer and butt allow you to remove the snare wires for snare-side head changes and reattach them quickly with a single drum key screw. A tension indicator lets you easily reset your snares to their former tension.

2.3mm Dyna Hoop
The 2.3mm thick triple flange Dyna Hoops are strong, giving you precise tuning while allowing the drum to open up.

A superior Yamaha copper snare with superb low-end definition for enhanced warmth! Order yours today!

Great drum, bad strainer design

from Erie, Pa

Comments about Yamaha Copper Nouveau Snare:

I have had 3 Yamaha snares brought to me for repair, all for the same problem. The drum itself sounds great, but attaching a strainer to a $400.00 drum with a piece of plastic? Come on!. There is no excuse for a strainer to fall off a snare drum in the middle of a gig. Bad design; I expect better from Yamaha.
