A simple instrument with a broad array of tones.

This Schalloch Cajon has a front playing surface made of Makah burlwood that not only produces warm bass tones and sharp slaps but also is strikingly ornate. Tension screws allow you to adjust the face for varied slap sounds. The main body is made of Siam oak, which creates a strong shell with good projection. The strong rubber feet keep the drum off the floor for freer shell resonance and also serve to keep the drum from sliding as you play.

  • Tension screws for adjusting slap tones
  • Siam oak body
  • Built-in adjustable strings for outstanding sizzle effects
  • Rubber feet to enhance resonance and prevent sliding

Comments about Schalloch Cajon with Burl Wood Front:

The Cajon is great and the case does it's job. It would have been nice if music123 shipped the cajon IN the case instead of separate packages (arriving on the same day!). Kind of the point of getting a case in the first place!!!

Comments about Schalloch Cajon with Burl Wood Front:

Decided to try a Cajon drum and add it to the other percussion instruments I currently play after seeing a great deal at The Cajon is beautiful and has a warm tone once tuned that is totally different from the other drums I play. Once you find the different spots on the Cajon to get the different sounds is not that hard to learn. shipped the item out promptly with follow up emails the whole time. There are some great videos on youtube that show the possibilities of this great instrument if you are just thinking about trying one out.
