Have conga, will travel!

Pearl's PTC1175 Travel Conga delivers real conga sound from a compact 11-3/4" x 3-1/2" drum that can be carried literally in a backpack! The wood shell and stave construction are identical to Pearl's full-size congas and the Remo FiberSkyn 3 synthetic head yields outstanding tone while resisting fluctuations from changes in temperature or humidity. Five precision Allen bolts provide accurate and easy tuning via the included foam-handle Allen wrench. The Travel Conga can be played on your lap or mounted on a snare stand and integrated into your drum set or percussion set-up.

    Comments about Pearl Travel Conga:

As a percussionist I started out playing bongos and then added congas to my repertoire. I've played various setups in different venues but when I came across the Pearl Travel Conga in a music store in Upstate NY. I thought it was too good to be true. You know the old saying, if its too good to be true it probably is but such is not the case with this product.

I got a great deal and then took it home. Mine came with the case so right out of the case there is no need to set up. I got a pearl snare stand later on and the people at the drum circle fell in love with it. Since the head it synthetic there is no need to loosen the lugs after every use, I just set it and forget it. The tone is rich and the sound projects well. The comfort curve rims are easy on the hands and Once I'm done I can just put it back in the case and go. Try doing that with full size congas!
