One of the most recorded sound effects.
The first of numerous patents
The LP Vibra-Slap was the first of numerous patents granted to Latin Percussion, Inc. As with many other LP products, the Vibra-Slap was conceived as a dependable replacement for the original delicate rattling horse jawbone.
The sound is created when the ball end is struck against the palm of one hand. The sound can be varied simply by rotating the sound chamber.
Available in three styles, 2 made from wood and a third made from metal. The wood version has warm crisp tones while the metal version produces a more metallic sound.
