Nice mouthpiece

By

from San Diego, CA

Comments about Denis Wick Trumpet Mouthpiece in Silver:

I purchased both the 4X and 5E. The 4X is a great jazz mouthpiece with a really good upper range while still sounding good in the lower registers. This is quickly becoming my favorite. The 5E is a true screamer mouthpiece that extends your range considerably even over the good upper range of the 4X but tone definitely suffers in the lower register.

Comments about Denis Wick Trumpet Mouthpiece in Silver:

I have just purchased my new Dennis wick 1.5c mouthpiece and it is absolutely fabulous. My teachers said I was jumping too far getting it but it is a big improvement. It has really helped out my range and all I can say is its awesome I think I will purchase another Dennis wick mouthpiece.

Love the Dennis Wick 3

By

from Indianapolis, IN

Comments about Denis Wick Trumpet Mouthpiece in Silver:

I have used a Bach 3C for years, but when I used the Dennis Wick 3 for the first time, I was amazed. The "feel" of the rim is smoother and more comfortable. My range is unchanged (E above High C) and the tone is more centered and precise. Dennis Wick mouthpieces are my choice from now on.

Best mouthpiece out there!

By

from Knoxville, Iowa

Comments about Denis Wick Trumpet Mouthpiece in Silver:

I just got my denis wick 3c and it is amazing. The tone is nice and dark and the intonation is the best of any mouthpiece I have ever played. It is great in the lower and mid range but I wouldn't recommend it if you want to do anything major above c. I recommend this mouthpiece to everyone.

awesome range

By

from Indiana

Comments about Denis Wick Trumpet Mouthpiece in Silver:

I recently bought a 4E mouthpiece and I noticed a higher range instantly. I went from being able to play a high D (above first high C) to a high G. I was lucky in the fact that my other mouthpiece was quite similar. Friends who tried my four E could not get much out of it due to their mouthpiece sizes.

The 3e is for the advanced player

By

from new jersey

Comments about Denis Wick Trumpet Mouthpiece in Silver:

The 3e is for the advanced player with a stronger embouchure. The higher range can be developed with practice. The mouthpiece is very free blowing with a nice sound.

Dennis Wick 1CW Mouthpiece

By

from Mount Vernon, Ohio

Comments about Denis Wick Trumpet Mouthpiece in Silver:

I purchased a Dennis Wick 1CW mouthpiece along with a sound sleeve. .... as a Christmas present from my wife! :) I have played on a Dennis Wick 3C for the last 20 years. My music professor swore by Dennis Wick. So,... on his suggestion I switched from a Bach 3C. I was amazed at the difference (feel and ability to articulate notes). I was interested in a larger mouthpiece because I wanted a larger and broader sound. I also was interested in adding mass via. the sound sleeve. I was able to use my new mouthpiece and sound sleeve for a performance on Christmas eve. I was very shocked at the difference. My sound was much larger and darker. My upper register has also increased. Just the other night I was practicing with my piano accompanist who commented on how dramatic the difference is with my new mouthpiece. Overall, I would rate the Dennis Wick product line with the highest rating. The contour of the mouthpiece rim is such that I can play for extended periods of time. It is an excellent all around mouthpiece. I play lead trumpet in a jazz group and also play a number of classical pieces that require good articulation. The sound sleeve helps lock in notes and is especially helpful when playing in the upper register (double F's and up). The sound sleeve also produces a slightly darker tone. I have also purchased and installed on my Bach Strad. heavy valve caps. These too made a difference, but not nearly as much as the sound sleeve in conjunction with the larger Dennis Wick mouthpiece.

Great Mouthpiece!!!

By

from Machesney Park, IL

Comments about Denis Wick Trumpet Mouthpiece in Silver:

I got a Denis Wick 3E for Christmas, and I think it is great. Better, (and quite a bit different) than Bach. I wish I had gotten a Denis Wick mouthpiece sooner.

Comments about Denis Wick Trumpet Mouthpiece in Silver:

Personally I believe that Denis Wick's are the best mouthpieces around. I found them to be more comfortable and playable. My gold plated "5" is amazing. It provides great high, middle, and low range.
