The Schecter Stiletto Studio-6 Bass Guitar is a a lot of bass for the price--a sleek, sexy, thumper loaded with features that count. Six strings give it maximum range. Neck-thru construction gives it excellent sustain. A mahogany body gives it tone and resonance. Comments about Schecter Guitar Research Stiletto Studio 6 Bass:

This Bass is what they are talking about when they tell you what to look for. One piece construction gives you the 3 most important things: Pick Up effectiveness, Longer Sustains, and Lower action on the strings. The pickups are enhanced when the entire bass vibrates to the strings, and the longer Sustains come from the added vibration as well. The lower string action is hugely important when it comes to how much tendon you need when you are working over that low B string. Other quality highlights are: The see through black satin finish. Not only does it look fully awesome, but It gives you a new dimension in "Neck glide" Yeah. Your hand just glides along the neck, with never any stickiness from sweat during a show. You also never have any excessive slippage. There is some weight to this bass, but it is almost balanced enough to stay where you want it. If I was a few inches taller, I could probably balance it better, but I make do just fine on stage, in studio, and at practice. The EMG-Hz soapbars do as well as you would expect EMG's to do. They aren't Boutique pickups, but they catch all the tone and Techniques I use, So I'm happy enough with them. I get the best results out of this Bass by playing between the soaps during choruses to flatten out my tone and blend with the guitars. And in Verse where more seperation is wanted, I play right by the neck. By playing ON the neck, say, at the 24th fret, you almost get a piano sound. pretty sweet for some songs. I bought this bass 7 months ago, and the Black chrome finish on all of the hardware is still just fine, even with all the abuse I give this Bass. One negative, though: it requires TWO 9 volts for the pickups, but the plus side of that, is they last a lot longer. The tone controls are fantastic! All I have to do is boost the Trebs and Bass all the way, and cut the Mid down to about 20% For a percussive, fat sound. To warm it up, Bring the Mid to the notch in the middle. To go raw for a more melodic sound, just boost the mid to taste, and you rock out. Bottom line is: This Bass has all the quality of a $2,000 Bass. As well as the tone, the range, and all the cappabilites you need. you just need to adjust it to where you need it.
