Designed as a bass, not an over-sized guitar.
The Michael Kelly Firefly 4-string acoustic bass is an affordable bass that sounds great unplugged and has the electronics for easy amplification. A spruce top and deep laminated flamed maple body give it a bright and beautiful tone. It's a looker and the price is beautiful, too.

Comments about Michael Kelly Firefly 4-String Acoustic-Electric Bass:
I originally bought the firefly for something to lie around and fool around with...like a well taken care of beater. But it has such a pleasant sound that I had to share it. It gets a ton of compliments for appearance and sound (amazing for the price). Its is great for small venues or just for jamming and fooling around with. I do have a little trouble with feedback when it gets too close to an amp. its plugged into but that is probably my own lack of electronics savvy. I'm thrilled to have it.
