Beautiful looks and precision electronics from Ibanez.
The SR500QM 4-String electric bass guitar from Ibanez is a solid acquisition and addition to any bass player's arsenal. Standard SR basses offer a wide line-up, from beginner to working pros. From higher-end Bartolini pickups to Ibanez EXF pickups, they are versatile enough to play any kind of music, while SR's signature "Slim & Fast" neck gives you great playability. The 5pc Jatoba/Bubinga neck and rosewood fingerboard are comfortable and smooth allowing quick movement along the neck. The mahogany body with quilted maple top provide both style and function. Mahogany is the ideal wood for basses because it's rigid and dense, creating outstanding lows and low mids. Its Bartolni MK-1 pickups and EQB-IIIS 3-band EQ w/ mid frequency switch give you complete control over your sound so you can dial it in just right.

Comments about Ibanez SR500QM 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:
This was my first Ibanez and it certianly will not be my last. The quality of this bass absolutely amazed me. Visually the Quilt Top Maple over brown burst is beautiful. The electronics are tight and responsive, Bartoloni MK-1 pick-ups rock. The neck is thin and fast with medium frets. Sound quality is very impressive. I play blues and prog rock, this bass covers it all. When I started playing this bass in the store I had to ask a sales rep if it had been priced incorrectly. I have played basses that cost twice as much that didn't even come close to comparing with the SR500QM. I will be checking out other Ibanez models.
