Not bad for $99 Bucks!

from Woonsocket, R.I.

Comments about Raven RG20 Guitar Combo Amplifier:

I got mine yesterday and to be honest, it took me a while to get the tone to my personal settings because the mids and the treble seem to be very bright while the reverb and the delay almost sound the same. Once I did, I was quite pleased with the clean channel which in certain ways, reminded me of my old Fender Princeton 65 combo. The distortion channel on the other hand, seems to be lacking in both tone and punch. This is not a Metal disortion but more of a Blues/Classic Rock type which also needs some tweaking to get a proper setting. There are several things that this amp has going for it and that is one, this thing is way loud for a 20 watt combo and is very pedal friendly. I hooked up a Danelectro Fab Distortion Pedal to it and couldn't believe just how good it sounded through it. Another plus is that it's very well made. This amp is like a friggin tank. As far as I'm concerned, for the money you could do a helluva lot worse. This could be used for small club gigs by the way, and is reccomended IMO, for the beggining guitarist. All in all, this is worth the price and then some!

Raven RG20 Guitar Amp

from Monroe, La.

Comments about Raven RG20 Guitar Combo Amplifier:

This amp is well worth the price I paid. Tone is great, volume is good. I actually have used it as a mini-PA (just plugged a 4 ch. mixer into the CD/Mp3 input and my guitar into the normal guitar input). It done a great job. The only problem I have is with the reverb/delay when I'm playing guitar only through the amp, I can barely tell the difference when I use the select button to switch between reverb and delay. If you want a very good guitar amp with some flexibility, get this one.

Comments about Raven RG20 Guitar Combo Amplifier:

This amp was purchased for use in our clubhouse, the bingo people use it, our DJ plugs his mixer into it for dances and our MC uses it for games. Our clubhouse holds about 150 people and the volume is fantastic. We might even plug a guitar into it one day!
