Proudly analog in a digital world.

The Maxon AD-999 Guitar Effects Pedals is the most ambitious and practical analog delay pedal to come along in a very long time. A few years back the hopes of analog lovers the world over were dashed when Panasonic closed their BBD production line for good. Rather than giving in to the digital wave, Maxon took the opposite approach and had BBDs manufactured exclusively for them!

Each AD999 comes loaded with eight Maxon MN3107D BBDs for a total of 900ms of pure, rich, organic analog delay. Standard Delay Time, Delay Level, and Feedback controls combine with wet/dry outputs for a variety of sounds and signal routing options. Switching is handled by a 4PDT mechanical switch for transparent, noise-free operation in bypass and the unit runs off 9V DC for easier integration into players' pedal boards. When you're ready for the ultimate analog experience, the Maxon AD999 is the only serious choice in an otherwise digital world!

Great Unit!!

Comments about Maxon AD-999 Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:

Analog delay - I love it! Yeah this thing costs a lot but it sure does sound good. There might be less expensive units with just as good sounds but there are so many delay pedals it would take forever to play all of them. There is a little bit of distortion on the repearts if you have a hot guitar running clean into the pedal but I happen to kind of like that. It's not an awful thing - more like an analog thing i guess. The repeats with this pedal are a little brighter than on some other analog delays I've played through. I prefer the sound of this one so far. Now if you go for the really long delay settings the repeats get darker faster than with more moderate/shorther delay settings. The self-oscillation is fun to play around with.
In summary, I love this pedal. I recommend it for anyone who's got the $$ to buy one.
