Embrace your inner tweaker.

The 15 W Egnater Tweaker amp head is ultracompact and amazingly versatile. The all-tube Egnater amp head offers unique and sophisticated tone with seemingly endless variations via the onboard Tweaker selector switches. Powered by a pair of 6V6 power tubes, the Tweaker is a perfect micro amp for gigging.

The amp head's gain, EQ, and master sections each have a Tweaker switch providing a wide range of tones from the ultra smooth and satisfying to fully over-saturated lead tones.

Hidden inside the Egnater Tweaker head is a vast array of tones not usually found in amps with such a compact design. Each of the five toggle switches on the front changes the amp head's character. The Tight and Bright switches shape the low and high end from soft and smooth to punchy and aggressive. The Gain switch goes from sparkly clean to an all-out high-gain assault. The EQ switch selects from pristine American to classic Brit and even the illusive VX AC sound. The Classic/Modern voicing switch dials up either soft and smooth or hard and edgy power-tube tone. The Egnater 15 W amp head makes sure it's all in there to satisfy the ultimate Tweaker.

Comments about Egnater Tweaker 15 W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

This little amp has beatiful clean and crunch sounds, it does't do metal by it´s own but with an external overdrive/dist pedal you may get as heavy as you wish. The size an portability are awesome, very good quality tubes and electronics (mine came with EH12ax7's and ruby 6v6's). Affordable price. The only thing I didn´t dig is that the signal level of the effect loop is too hot for some pedals (specially mxr). However Egnater´s recommended mod is really easy and partially fix the problem.

    Fantastic small amp

Comments about Egnater Tweaker 15 W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I have owned this amp for 3 months and have been really enjoyed it. The versatility of the amp is unequaled by any amp in my large collection of tube amps. The switches on the front panel give a plethora of great tones. As a longtime electronic technician (over 40 years) I have restored, repaired and modified more guitar amps than I can remember for my customers but never came close to the range of sounds available in the Egnater Tweaker, it is marvel. The amps circuits are well designed as my inspection and my own use reveal to me. The effects loop is well designed and executed to work well with external effects. I have used this amp mostly with a 2-10 Gibson closed back cabinet from an old GSS-100 amp and it sounds fabulous. I have also used it thru my Traynor 4-12 and a Crate 4-12 with Eminence V-30 clones both of which had very big sounds suitable for rock or blues. I highly recommend this amp to any one looking for a variety of tones in affordable package. The Tweaker is also easily carried. I like my Egnater Tweaker so much that I just ordered a second one. If you don't like the Tweaker you need your hearing checked. Egnater has designed a real winner here especially with the advent of the 40 and 88 watt versions.

    Tweaker Nirvana

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Egnater Tweaker 15 W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I've been looking forever for a true do-it-all amp that's capable of just about any music I want to play. I have played a number of low wattage tube amps, but few have come as close in sound quality to this one (even the Rebel 20 didn't excite me that much), and none were anywhere near as versatile. This little lunchbox-sized amp has such a nice crunch, from very low volume to blasting, and the cleans sound fantastic as well. However, it's the variety of available sounds which will blow your mind. I have no idea how Bruce Egnater did it, but Bruce Egnater managed to emulate the front end tone stack of all three classic amp types, threw in Mesa for the heck of it, and made it all easily accessible via a few switches.

My taste in music runs the gamut, and not matter what I want to play, I can quickly dial it up on the Tweaker. You can go from classic and hard rock to high-gain metal to sludge/stoner rock to twang to country on this thing. If you have a few different types of guitars, your options are nearly limitless. The only other amp I have played which does so many things so well is the Mesa 5:25, but this one does a variety of sounds as good or better, at less than half the cost.

The only potential drawback I can identify is the lack of reverb, but it still sounds so good that I really don't care, and I'd much rather have the effects loop that is does possesses. I'm so happy with it that I have no intention to buy another amp. I've got them all now.

    Great home amp or gig

    from Nashville TN

Comments about Egnater Tweaker 15 W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I finally dug up some tones i've been searching for,, from my 85 les pau(tim shaw paf's) thru this amp. I also dialed the amp down to "bedroom" low and still got better growl than using my OCD pedal. The best advice is to get the matching cab...!for the price ..get 2. and another run stereo or for channel switching ! that would be one mean little rig ! If you like tweaking/collecting dirt pedals you will really appreciate this amp,you now have a choice of tones to try different pedal combinations against decient head room and effects loop,, I was sold and am very happy with the amp.

    Egnater Tweaker.... worth every penny

    from M.B. S.C.

Comments about Egnater Tweaker 15 W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I had doubts this amp would be as good as I had read it was because few things in life live up to the hype that often surrounds them. I was wrong, it surpassed my expectations by a long way. I'm getting numerous great tones out of it. Usually, with a good amp I'll find a few voices that are the best the amp has to offer... dial in a clean and a crunch, maybe even a heavy distortion voice that work the best for that amp and then that is it, those few tones define what that amp is. Well the Tweaker has so many great tones that I actually have taken to writing down the settings so I'll be sure to find them again quicker as I keep 'tweaking'. I can definitely recommend this amp for anything from clean to hard rock and that is without the use of pedals too! I don't play the cookie-monster-vocals over the 'brutalz' tones so I can't say for sure you can get there without a pedal or two but everything from Metallica down to Kieth Urban and every thing in between is right here in this amp. Each switch on the amp really does what it is designed to do. If there was an Academy Award for best amp design this one would be one of the contenders, probably the winer. By far the best value gear for the dollar I've ever spent. If I ever go back to playing live I'll have a pair of these set up as my rig. I can't wait to go back and re-record some stuff I've recorded lately to replace some of the guitar parts with some of my new Tweaker tones.
