This Rebel screams.

The 30W Egnater Rebel-30 Tube Amp Head is a descendant of the award-winning Rebel-20 guitar amp head with a refined level of flexibility and tone-shaping power.

This all-tube 2-channel head features Egnater's unique Tube Mix knob, giving you access to an incredible variety of tones from American to British, and all points in between. Channel 1 delivers rich cleans with controls for volume, treble, and bass. Channel 2 dishes out powerful, touch-responsive overdrive with treble, mid, and bass EQ, as well as a wide-range gain knob that takes you from growl to scream.

Both amp channels offer Egnater's signature Bright and Tight switches and each channel has its own Watts knob, so you can access both low-wattage crunch and serious clean headroom, or any combination you choose.

The Rebel-30 amp head's specially designed and easily accessible back panel holds more welcome surprises, such as independent Reverb controls for each channel and a tone-preserving series effects loop. A speaker emulated line out lets you go directly to the board live or in the studio. Set the Egnater Rebel-30 Amp's standby switch to Silent Record for great direct-recorded tones that spare both your ears and your neighbor's. And the Egnater easy-access chassis makes swapping amp tubes quick and painless.

Great Sound, Poor Quality

from Undisclosed

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 30W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I purchased a used Rebel 30 from this website after testing it out at a local music store. I was very impressed by the versatility of the sound, from Fender-esque cleans to vaguely Marshall-ish overdrives, with the ability to loosely mimic some Vox thrown in there. Those are just the best comparisons I've got, but it does have a unique voice, and I couldn't have been happier. For the first 3 weeks.

Then, the volume on the clean channel decided it was going to be an on/off switch rather than a variable pot. I either had no sound in the 1-3 settings, or maximum volume from 3-10. I thought I could just have it repaired, as I got a good deal on the level 3 head. Then, the bass and treble pots on the clean channel stopped working all together. I did some research on the web after the problems developed, and found that quality control at Egnater is apparently lacking. Cold solder joints abound on the circuit boards, pots are overheated when they are installed (which cause abnormally early failures).

I'm not the only one with these issues, so before you buy, spend a few minutes on google to educate yourself.

If you're only after a great sound, and you don't mind having to repair your amp frequently, or have the time and know how to reflow all the solder joints (or have the money to have a shop do it), sure, take a chance. You may love the sound. I know I did. I just couldn't justify keeping a known low quality product.

HolY Mother of God!

from Mount Pearl NL

Comments about Egnater Rebel-30 30W Tube Guitar Amp Head:

I bought this amp 3 weeks ago , practiced in my basement with it, took it to a jam, and played a gig with it - THIS THING SMOKES! The clean sounds are endless! From thick mellow to bright and punchy this amp can do em all! The gains are just as good, from classic rock crunch to searing gains and bluesy mellow on-the verge sounds! The tube mix is my favorite feature and the tone really does change with it! If you are looking for a head in this price range THIS IS THE ONE! GET IT NOW!
