120W, handbuilt quality and classic tube-driven tone in a road-worthy 2x12".

Bugera's goal with the 120W 6260 2x12" tube guitar combo was the tone of a high-power, super-lead amp, with all the virile crunch it takes to detonate the center stage. With 6L6s this design has a very open and glassy tone; with EL34s, it takes on a more compressed and noticeably midrange character.

With the master up and using the Clean gain knob for volume, you get pristine, yet fat clean power. Turning the Clean gain up gradually causes the amp to react like a non-master volume amp, and achieves a very natural sounding overdrive ” what the comany calls œTexas Clean.

Turning the master and gain up together causes the amp to react like a non-master volume amp.

Turning Clean channel gain up achieves a very natural sounding overdrive. The amp will react sharply to changes in volume or attack from the instrument.

The Crunch setting is simply the clean channel with more gain from another 12AX7 to create the rock n roll rhythm sound heard on all your classic rock faves.

The Bright switch helps darker sounding instruments cut through and really shines when using a hollow or semi-hollow body guitar.

The Lead channel is all about articulate gain and sustain. Copious amounts of harmonics and compression help solos stand out and cut thru the band with ease.

Separate master volumes allow for easy rhythm-clean/solo-lead switching with total control over the level of each sound.

Bought 4 Bugera Amps

from kansas city

Comments about Bugera 6260 120W 2x12 2-Channel Tube Guitar Combo Amp with Reverb:

I got them on closeout recently. Only one is a 6260. I realize these are not vanishing or gone and now they have the autobias models. However I will give a bit of information that might be useful. You need to watch the bias a lot longer than 10 minutes, maybe you need to see how high it climbs for 45 minutes before it really stabilizes and quits climbing. 3 of my 4 Bugera amps are like this. Also forget the Bugera grid voltage method. That is totally ridiculous, I have no idea why Peavey did it like this, and we know Bugera is a Peavey clone. You need a bias probe to measure plate current. About 37ma works for these amps. But if you go with the value you see at 10 minutes, you may end up playing you amp at a value closer to 50. Which of course will fry your tubes. After awhile the bias value will peak and stabilize, but you probably won't see that value after only 10 minutes on these amps.

Hope it holds up I have read a lot of reviews, most of them not so good. Time will tell and so far so good, If it craps out I will just use it as a speaker cabinet! I didn't give much for it so no matter, I couldn't buy a 2x12 speaker cab for what I gave for it, so I will get use out of it one way or the other even if it's just for a 2x12 speaker cab!

Comments about Bugera 6260 120W 2x12 2-Channel Tube Guitar Combo Amp with Reverb:

Music 123 had this diamond in the rough. Well first it was a bargin. Way less than you can buy a 120 watt tube amp with 2 x 12's for. It looks good. VERY HEAVY! Old school Fender Twin HEAVY! 60 pounds! But with a tube amp that is what you get! If your tube amp isn't heavy, are you sure it is a tube amP? Build quality seems good. Very classic looking styling. I wanted an AC 30 and well it is very much out of my price range. The clean channel can get the AC 30 soud by turning the mid and bass out. The crunch channel is VERY loud at 1. It sounds ok. The lead channel is OK.Digital reverb isn't bad either. I have went from a Vox AC 4 4 watts to this 120 watt beast. It takes my wah wah. I like running my tube screamer into the clean channel. I am old school. The foot pedal is ok BUT the plug pins are very easily bent. Be sure to take note where the hood is for proper alignment insertion. I think after I tweek it in (only had it for 12 hours) It will be just fine.
