A sweetheart pickup for a legendary guitar.
When Jerry needed a touring guitar with the exact same sound as his prized '52, he turned to Seymour who accurately duplicated the warm, punchy tone of its bridge pickup. Seymour used Alnico II rod magnets and a special wind for increased sustain. Symmetrically staggered pole pieces mirror the fingerboard radius and assure exceptionally balanced string-to-string response. The result is a traditional, sweet and even tone that just drips with all the sparkle and twang you'd expect out of a truly righteous Tele.
- Accurately duplicates Donahue's '52 Tele bridge pickup
- Alnico II magnets
- Increased sustain

Comments about Seymour Duncan Jerry Donahue Electric Guitar Pickup:
I have a mexican telecaster that I have owned for about 10 years. I really like this guitar and I was of the opinion that it had pretty good tone. But, just for fun, I decided to see if an aftermarket pickup could improve it any. I researched the possibilities and decided to spring for a seymour duncan/jerry donahue model for the bridge position. This pickup is so good it almost brings tears to my eyes. This thing sounds the way a telecaster is supposed to sound. Stinging, without too much treble. Body, without sounding like a humbucker. Never strident, never muddy. Very highly recommended. If you think your tele can't sound better, think again. This is the one.
