Comments about Martin M530 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light 10-Pack Acoustic Guitar Strings:

I am a beginning guitarist-3 months into it now. But I have played various other stringed instruments for decades, and I know what feels good. These strings not only feel good on my Gibson dreadnaught, they sound phenonminal! The bass strings ring deep and true, the top end has almost a bell like clarity to it and the mid range is wonderful as well. For everyday strings for the average person you can't go wrong with these. The light guage makes them easy to work with even for us beginners- I mean check out the guage on the 5th and 6th strings-the biggest is a .047 which is about 20% lighter than medium guage which most guitars are sold with. Yet by lightening up the guage you would expect to lose bass-NOT SO on these. I highly recommend these strings for everyday use and especially so for entry level students. Ease of play, great tone-great price-what more could you ask for?
