Comments about Livewire 2 Stereo 1/4"(F)-1/4"(M) Stereo Adapter:

Most splitters will have a few inches of wire that may offer some resistance, or usually being unshielded can also act as an antenna and pickup some RF interference, etc. These short and direct splitters are really the better way to go if you have the clearance for them. Since this one is flat (black housing is .5" thick x 1.25" wide x 1.5" long), you will usually be able to turn it one direction or another to fit between adjacent connections, if that is an issue.

Another thing to consider is whether you will have the clearance behind the equipment, since this will add 1.5" to the unbendable part of the connection (unless you happen to also be using 90 phone plugs or adapters to make a quick turn before or after this splitter).

When you first pull this out of the package, you may initially think it is too light, since the black housing is not solid molded rubberized plastic, but is instead a hollow plastic housing that covers the inner connectors. Nevertheless, the build quality is fine and other than seriously abusing them, it is not likely that you will have any problems with them.

Although it is clear in the title, I will emphasize that this is not going to split your stereo into a Left and Right signal. It is simply for splitting the same L and R stereo signal into two L and R stereo signals. There are adapters this size that will do the L and R split if you need that.
