A Wonderful Product

Comments about Dunlop Lap Dawg Chromed Brass Tonebar:

In the interest of full disclosure, I have not played my lap steel with any other tonebar.
That being said, I don't think I need to.
The lap dawg has a good heft to it, but it's the contours that really make it a piece of equipment worth having. It stays firmly in your hand, and gives a great amount of control.
Vibrato effects are easy to achieve and it stays put when you set it down.

Definitely worth the money and works exceedingly well on my 6 string lap steel.

great tonebar

Comments about Dunlop Lap Dawg Chromed Brass Tonebar:

when i first got it i thought it was really small. laying in your open hand it might look small, but it fits so nicely in your hand as you play. i've been playing guitar a long time, and just recently picked up the lap steel, and i feel like getting this tonebar was a step toward successfully learning this instrument.

fantastic performance

Comments about Dunlop Lap Dawg Chromed Brass Tonebar:

I have tried Stevens, other Dunlop steels, sst Scheerhorn, eg smith, gs steels...none have the feel, ergo, design, performance that drives my playing! I can't even believe the cost. I would have paid 3x to get one after using it. haven't seen any wear, & I'm TRYING to wear it out. It's changed the way I feel about my dobrology and my wife noticed the first time I asked her to listen to diff bars & pick one. she picked the dawg every time.
