This is exactly the same as the leblanc bari sax, except for the engraving. The Leblanc Bari has a 901 serial number, as well as having Yanigisawa's logo and name all over the key guards. Save yourself over $2000 and get the leblanc!!!!

I play the tenor and the bari in the middle school concert and jazz band. After trying a Conn and a couple of other saxes I tried this one, and it stuck. This sax out performed every other in every way, and it's always in tune. I highly recommend this for intermediate and above sax player.

I've owned this horn for about two years now. This horn is a superior one in intonation, durability and practically no maintenance except for it's annual checkup. It has a rich full sound, the highs and lows come out with ease and the horn plays in tune with itself. I highly recommend it.

The 901 is probably the best bari you can find for the price. When compared with other models, even such professional models as the 990, it can really hold its ground. Other than a few design flaws (the lower key guards are not reinforced), this model has impeccable intonation, a dark, warm sound, and a growling low A as well as a beautiful high F#. I have used this model for the last 3 1/2 years and I have grown even more fond of it than the Mark VI I used to play on!

I've owned one now for over a year. The responsiveness and intonation are superb. The horn played wonderfully with no need for setup or adjustment from day one. A very expressive sound for either concert or jazz/big band work with a simple changing of mouthpieces. The horn allows easy playing from low A to high F# at all dynamic ranges with very little effort. The lacquer has held up very well. An overall excellent value for a bari.

I purchased the Yangi 901 in dec 2003 and it has changed my outlook to music playing. I am able make sounds I have only dreamed of. It might sound weird, but if you have dreamt of sounds, then this instrument will live your dream. That is from the heart!
