Vandoren Traditional Bb Clarinet Mouthpieces
Traditional vs. Profile 88
The only difference between the "Traditional" and "Profile 88" mouthpieces is in the exterior angle of the beak. Therefore, the musician is free to choose the model which suits his purpose in terms of best playing position, easiest sound emission, greatest playing comfort and the most controllable and precise articulation. The "13" Series
Vandoren has developed the new "13" Series mouthpiece specifically for American clarinetists using A440 pitch. Five models have been elaborated with specific facings to this series: the M13, M13 Lyre, V13, M15 and the new M30 mouthpieces. The "13" series range also expands to other models (traditional facings) : 5RV, 5RV Lyre, B40, B45, M15 and M30.

38 years
Comments about Vandoren B45 Series Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece:
When I was a sophomore in college in 1971, my friend and I went to several large music stores in Denver, and tried mouthpieces. He played a Buffet R13, and I played a Selmer 10. We tried Brilharts, Buffets, and many Selmer variations including a crystal HS*. We came across a brand-new product by Vandoren, the B45, and when we played it, it was as though we had been shown the light. I have played a B45 ever since, for 38 years now. It's flexible, forgiving, and produces a lovely, plush tone.
