good case for the money

By Teddy Deane

Comments about SKB-140 Contoured Alto Saxophone Case:

I bought one of these cases around 8 years ago and it's still going strong. I'm a professional with a '63 Mark VI and pack it in and out of the car several times a week. It fits my horn perfectly, never had a glue smell and is light and compact. One negative: no room inside, you have to get creative to get in reeds, strap, neck and m'piece, but it's possible.

good but smell of glue

By f-TIX-Y

Comments about SKB-140 Contoured Alto Saxophone Case:

I had an Alto Sax case and liked it very much, but there was a glue smell that didn't go away. The horn took on the same smell. It is a very well made case. I emailed the company and was told that all of their horn cases smelled because of the glue and I should leave it open outside and eventually the smell would go away. Too bad such a great company and good case has to have this difficulty.
