Comments about Rovner Versa Alto Saxophone Ligature and Cap:
I received this ligature for free, by accident. Not owning an alto, I put it on my Otto Link (the alto hard rubber mouthpiece fits a lot of metal tenor mouthpieces). It fits a lot better than the stock ligature. Most importantly to me, it is much easier to place on the mouthpiece and screw together than most ligatures. On the saxophone I do not detect much of a difference in sound or response between most ligatures, but this one is at least superior to the stock ligature that came with the mouthpiece. I did not experience any deadening in the sound, which is a criticism I hear occasionally leveled against Rovner ligatures on the saxophone. Additionally, it seems very well constructed and durable. It is a very nice mouthpiece.
