I'm a college student. I play on my trumpet all the time and sometimes the mouthpiece smells. I spray Mi-t-Mist and it doesn't smell. Also if you spray it in your leadpipe once a week it prevents redrot and makes your trumpet clean.

This stuff is a nice alternate to cleaning out mouthpieces. Although I still recommend a brush and hot water once a week. It keeps it sanitized and if you think someone played on you mouthpiece just give it a squirt and forget it.

This is a great product for both students and teachers to keep shared instruments clean. I play clarinet, so I bought this product thinking that I could use it on my mouthpiece, but there is a warning on this product: "do not use on rubber mouthpieces or other rubber based parts." I don't want to do any damage to my new Pyne mouthpiece!
