You need this, especially if you have a wood clarinet. Otherwise, you clarinet will crack from the moisture if you do not completely dry it out before putting it away (a crime everyone is guilty of now and then). It works perfectly and extends the life of you pads. To quote the woodwind repairman from my local music store, "We actually lose money by selling these here. It keeps your pads and wood in such good shape, it can double the time before you need new pads"

They are very simple to use and prove to be the easiest thing a clarinet player can do for their instruments. It reduces the amount of cleaning required for the instrument. I just find them easy to use and they do what there supposed to. They're just great.
