EWI Case
Comments about Protec Standard Soprano Sax PRO PAC Case:
I bought this Protec case to hold my Akai USB EWI as recommended on a forum. It works great!

Totally adequate, capacious and flexible
Comments about Protec Standard Soprano Sax PRO PAC Case:
I needed a case for my C-soprano because after 80 years the old case was collapsing. The C model is of course 2 inches or so shorter than a standard Bb, so I wasn't sure whether this case would grip the horn properly. Advice from the Music123 experts was generically reassuring but vague. So I ordered one to see how it would work. Result: more than enough space for everything. The interior bracing and padding is not precisely fitted to any particular model, so it still works fine for this non-standard instrument. (I may add an extra lump of foam, just in case my little sax rattles around a bit.) I found all the straps and pouches were unexpected extras which may be useful. The whole thing seemed sturdy and serviceable. I didn't say 5 stars only because for me 5 stars would be for a case perfectly fitted to my exact instrument. But this is very good.

very disappointed
Comments about Protec Standard Soprano Sax PRO PAC Case:
It doesn' take much to make a case these days... but this one doesn't even have that much. It is as advertised, but what doesn' the advertisment say? As advertised its only 6" wide, minimum width needed, and 26" exeterior pocket. What else???? Lets see... 1 1/2" of foam on the top and less on the bottom with what is likely cardboard reinforcement. The undivided exterior pocket is suitable only for music and large itmes. The interior compartment is only for 2 mouth pieces and some carefuly placed reeds. the main compartment is empty but for the wood neck rest (too hard) and two 3" movable foam pieces. You can try to fit your horn in with these. The zippers are OK, but could be a little better. I would have to reconstruct this with foam and velure to make it work. My SOP is not up to a Selmer case, but it deserves better than this..... I am returning it...ASAP... any suggestions for an alternative inexpensive case appreciated.
