Perfect!
Comments about Protec Contoured Alto Sax PRO PAC Case:
Having a vintage alto, I knew it would need extra protection and may not fit in most other cases, but it fits great in this Protec case. I also love having two pouches attached and the option to use it like a backpack. It's built well and I can tell it'll last me for many years. Great investment!

GREAT CASE! But be careful! Depending on the size of the size of the bell the case won't close.
Comments about Protec Contoured Alto Sax PRO PAC Case:
I'm a music student. I have an alto with an enlarged bel and because of this my case won't close. My other alto fits great! It is truly a great buy! Just watch out for the size of your bell.

Wonderful case!
Comments about Protec Contoured Alto Sax PRO PAC Case:
I love the look of the contoured Bam softpack case my Reference 54 came in, but it had nowhere near the storage capacity or protection needed. The Bam case is a little too flimsy and (AFTER taking your horn out!) you can take the case and twist it a little. That is NOT a good thing! Not to mention, if there is pressure applied to the case, the horn could get seriously damaged. I bought this Protec case with the recommendation of 4 local pros. My 54 fits in this case perfectly. Snug as a bug. I couldn't really ask for anything more from a contoured case of this protection level. The horn even fits in there with key clamps on. That wasn't possible with the other case. And there is STORAGE!!! Wonderful, beautiful storage!! The interior has 2 well placed spots for your neck and mouthpiece (no more stuffing things down in the bell!). In the top pocket, you can easily fit: a flute case (no handle/B foot version); a couple of pens/pencils; cork grease; polishing cloth; silk sax swab; neck swab; neckstrap; keys; change, etc. And there is a second(!) zipper storage on the other side of the case for a: Protec reed holder and a tin or 2 of reeds; an extra mouthpiece or a Saxxy stand (if you don't want to stick it in the bell of the horn); a small repair kit and few other things. (Will not accommodate the kitchen sink though!)The handle is comfy and there's an extra near the top end of the case. I don't like the plastic thing on the shoulder strap. It's not comfortable because there's no padding, but it does have nice, heavy duty closures. I prefer to use the strap that came with my 54 case, it has locking climbing hooks and a monster length of extra thick rubberized padding. Those hooks are available at hardware stores if you want them. I love the zipper on the Protec case, nice big heavy duty easy glide ones. This thing can even become "backpackable" (extra $). There are some extra loops on the case and that's where the backpack straps hook up. Or you can use the strap off your clarinet case, slide it through those extra hoops and attach them back to the clarinet. It works for me.There's also a great water repellant canvas covering a hardshell case. It looks sleek and stylish, comes in 4 colors, very reasonably priced and LIGHTWEIGHT. You can't go wrong with this case.

Great case.
Comments about Protec Contoured Alto Sax PRO PAC Case:
This is not some flimsy bag - it has combined the strength and protection of a hardshell case with the appearance and weight of a gig bag. The pocket space is more than you could ever hope for, and the main strap is adjustable for carrying it perpendicular or horizontal to the ground, on either your shoulder or back.

Pretty Good!
Comments about Protec Contoured Alto Sax PRO PAC Case:
This case has stood up to the challenge of a full marching season for my high school band. From being in instrument trucks which are crammed with many other cases (Sousaphone, Quads!) Although it's a tight fit, my Conn 24M fits it fine. My favorite part is the soft cushion on the top part in the inside, VERY SOFT!

Very good, protective case.
Comments about Protec Contoured Alto Sax PRO PAC Case:
Beware of buying "gig bags" that give your saxophone very little protection. This Pro Tec case is very protective as well as user friendly. The straps have a swiveling clip that keeps it from getting twisted. It has two zippers so you can make it meet anywhere you want, but the best place is under the protective covering they provide. This case can take a lot of abuse and still protect your saxophone.

NICE CASE!
Comments about Protec Contoured Alto Sax PRO PAC Case:
I am a Tenor Sax player in High school. I have a Tenor and an Alto contoured cases. The problem I am having is carrying both my backpack, and my Tenor case at the same time. But other than that, these are extremely nice cases, and would serve anyone well. My Alto case has also gone through some rough times since I got it as a 6th grader.

Brilliant Case!!!!
Comments about Protec Contoured Alto Sax PRO PAC Case:
I got this case about 2 years ago and I love it to bits! You can fit just about anything into the side pocket! It's very durable - it is not a soft gig bag as you may think by looking at the pictures. The only thing is that it's a bit heavy, but I have to walk for 15 minutes to practice and I can manage it. It's a great case though and I'll be holding onto it for a while!

Excellent!
Comments about Protec Contoured Alto Sax PRO PAC Case:
I've had my Pro Tec Contoured Alto Sax case now for about a year and a half. It's excellent in all aspects of cases. The inner portion protects the body of the sax very well. The two side pockets hold a lot more than they appear they would. I can fit all of my accessories in. Inside the zipper pockets, there are pencil holders and a couple more zippers to hold smaller items. The case, when compared to my big old clumsy Yamaha case, reduced the weight of the case by about 50%. If you ever get the feeling that something's not in your backpack because it feels light, that's the feeling I get all the time with this case. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. The only thing I could think of to improve this case would be to include a spot inside the protected part of the case for a second mouthpiece (for instance, jazz.)
