Otto Link

Several years in the making, the Otto Link Vintage mouthpiece recaptures 'the sound' of early Otto Links. A combination of changes both inside and out; body shape, bore, chamber, baffle, side rails and tuning, recaptures the Otto Link sound of yesteryear, setting it apart from the current Otto Link. Although today's Otto Link is loved by thousands of players around the world, you may be longing to recapture the old Link sound. The Otto Link Vintage is exactly what you're looking for.

Otto Link Vintage is available in the same standard tip openings as current Otto Link models. Each mouthpiece is individually serial numbered and comes with a ligature and cap.

Comments about Otto Link Vintage Series Hard Rubber Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

This 5* Tenor mp (used) arrived today. I play a 1970 Conn Shooting Star 16M. The sound is great and is easy to blow using a #2 Java Green reed. The notes are sharp and darker than my Meyer 5 M medium chamber and a lot darker than my Rosseau Classic NC 5.

Its a winner and makes it fun to play !!!

Comments about Otto Link Vintage Series Hard Rubber Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

I bought this as a backup to my Ponzol Vintage HR 105, which itself (as Peter Ponzol himself told me) is an homage to the original Otto HRs. The new Otto Vintage HR is wonderful, a 95/100. Beatiful, rich sound, ease of response, nearly unlimited power. I'm going to keep it as a backup, and try it as a primary on my next gig. The only discernible difference between it and my Ponzol is that the Otto seems to have a slightly fatter beak in the mouth. The Ponzol is slightly more "elegant", whereas the Otto is a bit "beefier". Thus the 95/100. But it's a great piece. I highly recommend it to both novice and experienced players.

Comments about Otto Link Vintage Series Hard Rubber Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

I've had this piece for a year and it's come to be my main mouthpiece.i've played all of them on tenor(metal link, berg ,gardaula, and numerous hard rubber pieces)and this one has the biggest sound and fattest tone I've found...at at gig the other night a guy asked me if i was playing metal and I told him it was this piece and he was shocked(it projects very well, when I get on it it really makes the horn vibrate, and this was a rock gig)It took a while to get used to like all pieces but well worth the effort...I still try other pieces from time to time but always come back to this one..they did a good job with this piece and if your in the search for your sound you should give this one a shot, you might dig it.I have a 7 and use java red 3 reeds.

              Beautiful Tone!

Comments about Otto Link Vintage Series Hard Rubber Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

I have an Otto Link for my alto (and now tenor, too) and I love the sound I get from them! I am a great admirer of Stan Getz and his sound (he played on a similar Link for some time) and it's amazing how one can get such a similar, warm and controlled tone from these vintage series Links. I have the Otto Link 5* (for alto and tenor) and use LaVoz MH reeds. Overall, you can't beat the price or the tone, they are incredibly worth it.
