This is a wonderful mouthpiece. I just wish I had bought it sooner. I had a bit of difficulty playing subtones on the low notes. No trouble now with this mouthpiece. The sound is tremendous compared to my old Brillhart mouthpiece and I never hit an off note.
I bought a used 6* in great condition. I use a 3 1/2 Vandoren Java reed and I feel more confident than ever playing my tenor.
The one negative is that it took two weeks inclusive to receive my mouthpiece with the free shipping from the date I placed my order. Perhaps since it was around Thanksgiving, it took longer than usual through the mail.

I am a jazz saxophonist who performs, writes and records. I needed a mouthpiece that projects across guitars and other electronic instruments. The Otto Link gives me this capability. I used a Brilhart metal mouthpiece before this one and it was very good. However, the look (24Kt Gold Plated) and performance of this mouth piece convinced me to buy it. The Otto Link also delivers a steady, smooth sound when recording my sax melodies & solos. I use Otto Link mouthpieces on my Tenor (7*) and Soprano (8*)saxophones. Would recommend Otto Link go to another type of ligature similar to the Rovners. The ligatures' gold plating turns and looks bad after six months to a year of use.
