Comments about On-Stage Stands Alto/Tenor Saxophone Stand with Flute/Clarinet Peg:
Very happy with this stand, especially for the price. Haven't used it long, but it's stable, seems sturdy and holds the horn firmly in a good position.
This is all in contrast to the stand I just returned, the Hamilton Alto/Tenor Sax Stand with Peg, which was very mediocre. I can usually live with minor utilitarian items that aren't what I expected as long as they're adequate, but the Hamilton wasn't. It wouldn't sit stably on a level floor, and the sax tilted alarmingly to one side while in the stand. Overall the Hamilton's build was flimsy and didn't even perform its basic job well.
But this is supposed to be a review of the On Stage stand, which is much better in all those respects. Not quite as quick to set up and break down, and no carrying bag, but it gets the job done and looks nice on stage.
