I got this a few months ago just to put my alto on if I were practicing my soprano, alto, or bari in the same general time. Also working with some vintage baris, like the Buescher Aristocrat. It is a pretty solid stand. A problem occurs, though if you don't balance the sax right in the middle, it falls ever so slowly it's not noticeable until the sax is falling or it's on the floor/ground (YIKES!):(. I still like this stand

This stand is very reliable with my saxophone- usually with most stands i've been worried about it tipping over (unfortunatly, i've purchased some bad ones in the past). I trust this stand to take care of my saxophone without tipping over or breaking because it's sturdier than the other stands. This product is definetly worth spending a few extra bucks on.

This is a great stand for people who have to switch to different instruments or in my case, not wanting any damage to ones instruments. I bought my brand new Selmer Omega Alto Sax and don't want anything to happen to it and using the stand keeps it secure while I'm gone.

The stand is very stable. The only drawback is the fact that it is bulky to carry in a suitcase for the traveling sax player, even when broken down into two pieces. I recommend this stand highly for the non-traveling sax player.
