This sax does have soft brass so it is easy to get scratches on the instrument. It is kind of hard to make some notes come out. The lower note comes out edgy but that can be taken care of by kind of tonguing it slightly (but not to hard) it is better to play it standing up then it is to sit down.

I have played this sax for two years now and I have had trouble with it of and on. I cant really get the low notes out half of the time. It looks pretty but don't let it fool you. The one I play is only two years old and has had to be repaired five or six times. you would be better of getting a student model Bundy or something but u wouldn't invest in this one.

I played this sax after playing an old Conn Bari Sax from the 60s that was held together with rubber bands, tissue paper, and masking tape for a year. The Conn was also missing some keys. When I switched to this beautiful instrument from that old clunker, it made all of the difference. The Jupiter Sax that is advertised here is a great deal for your money.

I bought this sax just over 3 years ago and it's been a great investment. My previous one was a Conn Low Bb which is a great instrument that I still have. I play the Jupiter all the time in 2 community bands and it really holds up well. I've had the opportunity to try a Cannonball Bari which is twice the price and I'd rather have the Jupiter.

What a great horn! Fantastic projection, even with the stock mouthpiece. Well worth the money. A very easy playing horn. Easy to learn! Takes less wind to play then my Conn Tenor. I haven't played a Bari since 1960. After 2 days of practice getting to know the horn, I now use it as my primary instrument. A truly beautiful instrument. It plays so well you can easily over power the band if not careful!

This sax has slightly soft brass, so you'll need to take very good care not to bump into anything needlessly. The tone is a little rough with the stock mouthpiece, not what I'd use for classical music. That can be mostly remedied with a specialized mouthpiece. The sound bellows freely and majestically and the key work is so fluid that I do chromatic runs often, just because I can; this sax makes it fun to learn. In fact, dare I say it, this is more fun to play than my more expensive tenor and Yamaha alto.

This bari has a wonderful and all-encompassing sound. Strong lower octave that can dominate the band around it. Beautiful shining lacquer. Enormous addition to any bass woodwind player. I love mine.

This is a wonderful sax it has a great tone and is very durable for a player who travels. It is one of my favorite saxs.

Great bari. I wish the one I play were mine. It's sweet melodic tones soar through our band arrangements, and really give our music a wonderful feel.
