I think that this is an awsome starter soprano saxaphone. It has tons of great feature including a high F# key. I definitly recomend this.

After my Yamaha custom soprano got stolen, I picked up the Jupiter deluxe soprano. To my amazement, great intonation, smooth round sound, and ready for this? it plays better than my Yamaha and less than one third the price!!!

As a returning professional musician who sold his horns years ago and later had to wade through the many new manufacturers' instruments in search of a good horn at an affordable price, I have been pleasantly surprised by the performance of my Jupiter 547 GL. It has many features not found on other "student" and "professional" saxophones. I have found the intonation (usually a sore spot even on the megabuck manufacturers' saxophones)to be quite good throughout its range. In addition, the fit and finish on the 547GL soprano compares favorably to that of any other major manufacturers' instruments. Jupiter has produced a very good and AFFORDABLE soprano saxophone. The Jupiter line of band instruments is comprehensive and impressive. I know of no other manufacturer who offers an entire line of woodwinds and brass winds from double reeds to big-bell euphoniums and sousaphones. I think that anyone can buy a Jupiter band instrument and buy with confidence knowing that he can have both affordability AND quality.
