State of the art saxophone mouthpiece!

More Info
The JodyJazz DV is the state of the art in saxophone mouthpieces.
The main goal with this mouthpiece was to create the most efficient mouthpiece possible. That means that there are a huge amount of harmonics present in the sound and therefore the projection of the mouthpiece is huge. Another goal was to eliminate the annoying shrillness that is associated with loud bright mouthpieces. The DV is an amazing thing to play.
JodyJazz is using a new proprietary CNC facing technology that puts the perfect facing curve on the mouthpiece which results in absolutely no dead spots in the vibration of the reed. In other words all notes in all ranges respond equally. It has a husky barrel-chested tone while being able to sing and soar over the top of any band. Sub toning and low notes are extremely easy and the altissimo is out of this world. Intonation is spot on. Be prepared to have possibly the most fun you ever have had on the saxophone. If you like bright.
Players who now or in the past have played, Guardala, Dukoff, Beechler, Jumbo Java, SR Tech, Vandoren V16, Yanigisawa, or any of the bright mouthpieces out there will be sure to love The DV. What the players are saying
"After playing the Jody Jazz Tenor DV mouthpiece for a few seconds the first thought that came into my head was," Oh, so there's my sound!" This piece makes playing fun again. It has a very rich and powerful sound that enables you to play the entire range of the horn, from low Bb through the altissimo with ease. It gives you the freedom that you're looking for in a mouthpiece." Jeff Kashiwa - Native Language Recording Artist What the players are saying
The DV is amazing. It's brighter, louder and fuller than the ESP-X, without sacrificing any of the ease and control. I thought that nothing could exceed the ESP-X in these terms, but I was wrong. If you play modern styles, you MUST try this mouthpiece." Andy Snitzer - NYC

The Lord of Jazz Mouthpieces

By William Craig

from Manteca, California

Comments about Jody Jazz DV Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece:

I purchased this mouthpiece in December of 2008, and since then I've never played the same. When I took it out of the package I was shocked by its stunning gold exterior, and even more shocked by the incredible proportions of the mouthpiece. At first I thought "how could this possibly sound good, let alone work?" After but a few hours of playing I fell in love, and after but five minutes I noticed that this mouthpiece was unlike any other that I'd used before; it blew freely; it had a tone of brilliancy unlike any other I'd ever heard; it alloted me control of my overtones that was unparralel to anything I'd even dreamed possible. The entire experience of this mouthpiece is worth the price tag. I was once in your shoes, trying to decide whether or not it was worth the hefty price tag; I write to you now to say that is most certainly is. The quality of the mouthpiece is second to none, not to mention it is milled and plated by hand in Georgia, so you get the exceptional quality you'd expect from a good American company. Also, this mouthpiece is easy to clean, and a simple wash in warm soapy water will do it; mine still looks new after playing it near every day for the past 10 months. So if you are weary about the price, buy it and try it, that's all it will take for you to fall in love with the massive amount of control, tone, and sheer beauty of this mouthpiece.
